Among other things, California's Shredder Records releases some of the best guitar instrumental bands around. Dragstrip is certainly more proof of that. This band serves up thirteen totally rockin' tunes on this CD, including knockout covers of "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Jack the Ripper." True, there are a lot of bands out there right now playing this style of music...but those that really seem to be able to pull it off are few and far between. Dragstrip ought to please young and old fans alike, as they sound as fresh and alive as this style of music did when it was first introduced way back when. Still think Man or Astroman? is the hippest guitar band around? Give a listen to Dragstrip..and add them to your collection NOW. (Product Description/Advertising 1996)

I get to see Frankie Camaro play every few months with his new band Atomic Bombay every few months. The man is still a jaw dropping act to behold.I remember seeing Dragstrip open for Man Or Astro-Man? back in '96 several times and on their own. The 90's were probably the best decade for surf instro, yes even better than the 60's believe it or not!
